MOLD SAMPLING INSPECTION-TESTING FOR MOLD
GSR Environmental Inspection offers two types of mold service to best meet your needs and budget. We will provide you with the information so you can make an intellegent desision. GSR Environmental Inspection does not offer or perform any mold removal services to avoid any potential conflict of interest. We will provide referrals to you for mold remediation companies if you so request.
Basic Mold Inspection
The mold service that is most requested of us is a "Basic Mold Inspection @". This inspection is appropriate when a possible mold growth is detected by sight or smell. The service includes taking (2) air samples, (1) air sample outdoors to establish a baseline and a second air sample in the area of possible contamination.
A swab will be also be used to take a sample of suspect or visible mold where the mold is suspected.
Additional samples will be taken upon request (an additional fee per sample will be charged) if more than one suspected area of mold is noted. The client or a representative of the client should be present to point out the suspected mold.
The conditions contributing to the mold growth in the suspect area will also be evaluated. This service does not include evaluation or testing of other areas of the house and recommendations for removal.
Total Impact Mold Inspection (Copyright 2002)
The second type of service we offer is a "Total Impact Mold Inspection". This inspection provides a total visual inspection of the entire house, identification of any red flag areas, and total sampling of any suspect mold areas in the house. This service also includes lab analysis of the samples taken, and a report on conditions noted which contribute to microbial growth. Up to four mold samples are included with this service, including two air samples,(one air sample outdoors to establish a baseline and a second air sample indoors). Additional samples may include air, swab or lifts.

If the GSR Mold Inspector determines that additional samples are needed, you will be given the opportunity to accept or decline the additional sampling (There is an additional fee for each mold sample taken.).
Mold Clearance Testing
Mold Clearance testing is also reccomended and available after mold removal has been concluded. This service includes an inspection within the containmented area for signs of visible mold and requires up to (4) mold samples per containment area, three air samples and one swab or lift sample as needed. An air sample is taken in the containment area where the mold remediation was done,another air sample is taken immediately outside of the containmented area, and a third air sample is taken outside of the house as a control measure.
